Østfoldmuseene Research and Development (R&D)
Research is a fundamental prerequisite for the ability of museums to collect, document and disseminate in a way that is meaningful. It is therefore the ambition of Østfoldmuseene (Østfold Museums) to increase its investment in R&D and to establish itself as a high-profile research institution that generates and disseminates high-quality research results. Østfoldmuseene wishes to promote greater collaboration on research between museum networks and research communities, across a variety of disciplines, both within Norway and internationally.
Our website is only available in Norwegian, but we publish research in both other Nordic languages and English. On this page you will find a brief description of R&D projects at Østfoldmuseene, as well as a summary of other relevant peer-reviewed articles – in English.
